March 24th the Aion 1.9 Patch will be going live on all Korean servers. Assuming the sky does not fall that means the NA/EU servers should be seeing it "real soon now™".
A few things we do know now:
- New dailies in the Abyss that earn a new reward, Abyss Tokens, that can be exchanged for shiny new stuff such as the new Wings!
- Some of the new wings include HP and/or Mana bonuses!
- Mergeable Weapons - You will be able to merge two weapons into one, but this is more than a skin change. The new weapon will actually gain abilities from both weapons, making an entirely new weapon!
- Equipment Enchantment Cap Extended - No longer will +10 be the max. We are unsure what the new cap is but we have seen an example of a +14 and it was exceedingly shiny.
